Last year on Carrie Fisher’s birthday, I celebrated her legacy by paying tribute with a Leia-inspired hairstyle. Carrie would often ‘glitter bomb’ fans at conventions to add some sparkle to their day, so I took inspiration from that and decided to glitter my hair with a Star Wars Rebel Alliance symbol.
I first tied my hair up in a ponytail, then combined hair gel and silver glitter. I printed out the symbol in the size I wanted, and cut it out to use as a stencil to apply the glitter.
Having met Carrie a few times and personally seeing how wonderful she was, I wanted to celebrate both Leia and Carrie as I look up to both and am motivated by their words of wisdom. #glitterforcarrie
